These mounts are designed to hang from the ceiling and to hold multiple LPR (license plate recognition) and
surveillance cameras. Previously used ceiling mounts had poor structural integrity and were not suitable for the
application. Excessive movement from environmental factors cause metal fatigue and eventual failure resulting in
substantial damage to equipment and property.
I developed two new versions to correct this issue. The first design was a more complicated concept that added
several improvements making installation quicker and easier. Mounts/conduit/wiring could be installed before
camera poles. In addition, the side tightening feature allowed large camera poles to be safely mounted by a single
technician.
The second design was notably simpler, focusing on lower production costs. This version was highly re-enforced
and added some minor updates from the original to make installation easier (like pre-drilled mounting holes). This
design has already been successfully deployed at several locations.
